Final story part 4.
At the present day, I am my dog pack’s leader. As their leader they depend on me to be their primary care provider and I focus on holistic blended with conventional care and training. I am largely self-taught in the areas of dog care and behavior, emphasizing the significance of holistic and natural approaches to canine health, particularly in the context of breeding, working dog care and raising athletes. Conventional medicine, training and practices have their place as well as limitations that I needed to overcome. I turned to herbal remedies and natural care methods to maintain the health of breeding dogs and puppies, ensuring their reproductive integrity.
I discovered that there was a lack of understanding present upon my professional peers regarding preservation of natural health, fitness and the care of breeding dogs and maintaining working dogs. They require specialized care that conventional methods cannot address. Many medicines, surgery and drugs cannot be used with dogs of reproduction nor when you depend upon them as your working support dog.
We desire our working dogs to travel, train, eat well and maintain muscle and balance headspace. These goals have challenges and are what I address today with you and your working dog in training of all ages.
As I continue my dog journey, I continue to explore alternative medicine, care and fitness practices to help me overcome the challenges we face training and caring for our working, breeding and athletic dogs together. Our challenges are real. Our stress is managed. Our limitations become accepted but move toward change as we climb our mountain. I feel my answers are found in nature, but then I must put them into daily life practice and utilize modern methods that may be efficient. Over the next years to come, I will continue to share with you what works for DTC Excelon Dogs and Handlers!
