101 = no experience with the exercise or tool. 1 day workshop.
Workshops with Crystal are green boxes.
Workshops with Ed are grey boxes.
You, are your dog's handler & trainer. Workshops allow you to train and build your skills at your pace. You may join our training program or remain independent. Each workshop focuses on a single target training exercise from our training program.
We also offer workshops focused on working with a specific dog training tool that we use to train our dogs & handlers.
All the training exercises are using Social Model Training methods.
All training locations are outdoors. Dress for the day of weather from head to toe.
Sometimes you will be under covered areas.
Dog Platform Training 101
Workshop prerequisite: purchase your portable all purpose Klimb training platform for use on day of workshop. You can purchase your Klimb from my links found on Gear I love page.
You will start your platform training with your new tool!
For all dogs over the age of 6 months.

Dog Placement Training 101
Workshop starts the bed stay (elevated dog cot) and travel mat. Placement training exercises are built from zero to 20 minute duration of stay on your place for each place. For use in your home, office, day travel and overnight travels with your dog.
For all dogs over age 6 month.
Main AFD Training Program
Prerequisite: purchase your elevated cot from my links found on Gear I love page. Separate mat type suggested is a standard yoga mat or other type of single ply material that does not collect debris from ground.

You will handle your dog on my fitness training table and introduce, jump up, stay and pivot in place.
Grooming Table Training 101
Date: Friday November 14 2025.
Time: 2p.
Location: DTC Dog Fitness Training Studio. Limited to 3 teams.
Cost: $165
You will handle your dog on my grooming table and introduce common grooming tools: manual brush, vacuum brush and grooming lines and restraint. If your dog bites you, you must bring your muzzle! If you don't know how to train with the muzzle please take the muzzle 101 workshop first.
Everyday Life Muzzle Training 101
Date: November 7 2025.

Location: DTC Dog Fitness Training Studio. Limited to 3 teams.

You will introduce your dog to your new basket muzzle. Prerequisite: purchase from my amazon link your correct fitting basket muzzle for day of use workshop training.
Leash and Collar Training 101
You will learn how to handle your line, give non verbal ques and introduce navigational line ques from you to your dog using your leash and training collar. Your leash must be no longer than 4 feet.
Prerequisite: Not familiar with prong or slip collar training? Please take Prong Collar training or slip collar. The training collar will be chosen at workshop based on your dog's response. We train with slip or prong collars.

Prong Collar Training 101
Date: December 12 2025.
Time: 2p
Location: DTC Dog Fitness Training Studio. Limited to 3 teams.
Cost: $165 plus the cost of the prong collar.
You will introduce your dog to your new Herm Sprenger prong collar. The Herm Sprenger Traditional No-Clasp Collars are required for completion of this training workshop. Each collar is $45 and up depending upon wire gauge size. Due to sizing reasons the collar is provided to you day of the workshop. The class is $165 plus the cost of the prong collar for you. We primarily work with 2.25mm and smaller when doing obedience work with dogs. Occasionally 3.0 mm is needed. The proper position of the collar is JUST BEHIND the ears of dog on the neck. Measure this area and tell me the number in inches when I ask you for it, please.

Slip Collar Training 101
Date: December 12 2025.
Time: 2p.
Location: DTC Dog Fitness Training Studio. Limited to 3 teams.
Cost: $165 plus cost of the slip collar.
You will introduce your dog to your new slip collar. We use nylon or chain slip collars for obedience work. The slip collar is $25 and is provided to you day of workshop due to sizing reasons. We will choose and size your dog during workshop, and begin introductory training using the slip collar. The class is $165 plus the cost of the slip collar for you. The proper position of the collar is JUST BEHIND the ears of dog on the neck. Measure this area and tell me the number in inches when I ask you for it, please.

Fundamentals of Play Training for Puppies 101
Practical Protection w/Ed Marshall
Prerequisite: bring playful puppy and 4 toys of your choice, preferably ones your puppy likes. Balls, tugs, flirt poles etc.
For puppies: 12weeks to 6mos.
